Here's a list of links to history Web sites, collections, museums or other resources. The links have been categorized by their scope: local (Manchester Village or its surrounding four townships), county (Washtenaw), area (southeast Michigan, etc.), state, national, international and all.

Local (Manchester and surrounding townships)

Manchester District Library - Claire Reck Local History Room –

Manchester District Library maintains a collection of materials on the history of the Village of Manchester and surrounding townships (Bridgewater, Freedom, Manchester, and Sharon). These include old issues of the Manchester Enterprise on microfilm, published histories of the area, collections of old photographs, original typed or handwritten records, and newspaper clippings. Access to most of these materials is restricted to supervised use in the Claire Reck Local History Room, which requires an appointment.

State of Michigan

Michigan Historical Center and State Archives –

The responsibilities of the Michigan Historical Center and the State Archives have been relocated from the Department of History, Arts and Libraries to the Department of Natural Resources. As a result, the Web address for the Michigan Historical Center has been moved. The Web page for the Michigan Historical Center can still be reached at http://www.michigan.gov/michiganhistory.
